Based in Darlington but working throughout the whole of the northeast of England and Yorkshire, Nu Home Developments Ltd provide full-service project management to commercial developments and self-builders.

The Design Brief

Having worked with the directors of Nu Home Developments on previous projects, we were delighted to be asked to create a Brand Identity for their latest venture. The design brief incorporated a bespoke logo, responsive website, business cards and marketing materials.

Brand Identity Creation

We created a refined and elegant Brand Identity which was designed to appeal to the target demographic of high-end building projects and self-builders.  This translated into a bespoke logo design, responsive website, privilege and business cards, glossy A4 printed brochure and marketing materials.

Logo Design

The logo design is timelessly elegant,  using a restrained colour palette of soft silver grey and rich burgundy red.  The company name nestles within the stylised iconography of the house surrounding it, symbolising the “under one roof” services provided by the business.

Responsive Website Design

The responsive website was built using the WordPress CMS with a bespoke designed layout which uses white space and clear typography to create a feeling of calm elegant professionalism. A clear uncluttered navigation menu enables site visitors to quickly find the information they need.

The website design was kept deliberately simple: a main hero image with mission statement at the top of each page precedes a paragraph of additional text content. While it is usual to feature pictures of completed client projects, in this instance Nu Homes were keen to maintain their clients confidentiality and so high-end stock photography was used across the website instead. The image licences purchased meant that the same pictures could be used for other marketing materials.

During the build we worked with Nu Home Developments to create the content of the website. This included search-engine optimised text content, web optimisation and the reformatting of all of the photographs and galleries used throughout the website. Just prior to launch the website was linked up to Google Analytics so that visitor interaction with the website could be tracked and keywords monitored.

Business Cards & Brochure

Carrying the new visuals through to printed materials, we designed a series of marketing materials which included business and privilege cards, letterheaded stationery and a glossy A4 brochure. These were all printed on high-quality card-stock using our print management service.

The Result

A refined and elegant Brand Identity, including logo design, responsive website, business cards and marketing brochure. The creation of branded stationery, business and privilege cards, brochures and advertising banners enables Nu Home Developments to present a cohesive brand identity across every aspect of their business.

From the start the website did well in Search Engines and generated enquiries for the business. 

UPDATE Sept 2023 – We were asked to create an outsized advertising banner to be used on-site to promote the business. This was printed using our print management service which allowed us to maintain quality control while minimising printing costs.
